FAR 16.505(b)(1) — Fair Opportunity
Per FAR 16.505(b)(1), all SEWP VI contract holders within the same group and set-aside category are given fair opportunity to be considered for each delivery order exceeding $10,000.
The NASA SEWP Quote Request Tool (QRT) satisfies this requirement by issuing requests for quotes (RFQs) to all eligible contract holders simultaneously. This ensures that every qualified contractor in the relevant group and set-aside category receives the same opportunity to respond.
For orders valued at or below $10,000, the fair opportunity requirement does not apply per FAR 16.505(b)(2). However, Vortex Federal is committed to transparent and competitive pricing on all orders.
